Safety

What’s rule #1? Always wear a helmet!

According to the League of American Bicyclists “wearing a bike helmet improperly is the same as not wearing a bike helmet at all”. According to New Jersey state law, any person under the age of 17 is required to wear a bicycle helmet, but we think helmets are necessary for all ages!

Know your signals

Bikes do not come with blinkers or brake lights, which is why it is so important to communicate your intentions to cars, pedestrians, and other bicyclists. Let others know when you are coming to a stop or making a turn.

Get a bell, reflectors, and lights:

It is important to be safe, seen, and heard. It's the law to have a bell or horn on your bicycle!
